INLAID MAHOGANY CHIPPENDALE MIRROR. Scroll work crest to top and bottom having foliate inlay of lighter wood. Also mother of pearl decoration. Shaped frame has inlaid lighter band. Tree like upper ears, lower ears are scrolled. PROVENANCE: From “Bohemia” Cecil County, Maryland. Former home of Louis McLane (Federalist and Jacksonian, 1784-1857). SIZE: 52-1/2” h x 25-1/2” w.
