WILLIAM TROST RICHARDS (American, 1833-1905) SUNLIT BEACH WITH BOATS. Outstanding large oil on canvas seascape shows a sandy beach with light waves and several boats on horizon including four sailboats and one troller. The largest being a one-mast, two sail sailboat sailing right to left. The sun shines through clouds and reflects on breaking waves. Signed lower right “W. T. Richards”.
