TWO U.S. SHARPSHOOTER BUTTONS. These buttons are 1” diameter by 1/8” thick at the edge, slight convex on the back. One has a geometric pattern on the front with concentric rings in the center and an embedded wire shank. The other has a plain front with a beaded edge. The back on both buttons is marked “N.R.Co./GOODYEAR’S PT.1851”. One of these buttons is listed on page 137, Chapter 6 in the book “Buttons of the Federal Armed Forces” as item SS213. CONDITION: Chocolate brown color with minor light wear. 4-49309 JR522 (100-200)
