SABASTIANO GUZZONE (Italian, 1856-1890) CATHEDRAL INTERIOR. Colorful oil on canvas scene shows a semi-lit interior with sun shining through stained glass windows onto walls. Large floor candles are lit with hanging oil lamps. A large icon is seen on left wall. Two nuns stand in darker area, one with open book, stand over a gathering of floral wreaths. Signed lower right “S. Guzzone, Roma 85”. Housed in a magnificent gilt gesso decorated wide frame. Back of canvas marked “S. Guzzone Roma 85”. SIZE: 19” x 10-3/4”. CONDITION: Original canvas.
