EUGENIO EDUARDO ZAMPIGHI (Italian, 1859-1944) THE ADVANCE. Oil on canvas interior scene shows a young man and woman seated. The young man has arm around shoulder and hand on knee of the young lady who is in the midst of balling yarn. A floor swift is seen at her feet and a tambourine is hanging on the wall. Both are clothed in colorful costume. Signed upper left “E. Zampighi”. Housed in an outstanding old gesso decorated gilt frame with gold liner. SIZE: 17” x 13”. CONDITION: Relined, minor inpainting.
