UNSIGNED (18th/19th Century) THE LAST SUPPER. Large oil on canvas scene shows Christ with halo sitting at center surrounded by twelve men. A wine filled silver handled chalice sits on a white linen covered table. A large curtain swag in light brown drapes behind. The men are clothed in colorful robes. Housed in a regilt carved wood 18th/19th Century frame. PROVENANCE: From a fine Hallowell, Maine mansion. SIZE: 37-1/2” x 48”. CONDITION: Restored, old relining. Under black light it is hard to view the restoration due to a masking varnish. 9-26891 (2,000-4,000)
