HAND DRAWN MAP OF DELAWARE, 1809 AND AN EARLY ATLAS OF THE WORLD. 1) Framed hand drawn map with oval cartouche “A MAP OF THE STATE OF DELAWARE BY E. JARRELL 1809”. Map showing surrounding state edges and labeling counties, some towns and rivers. Housed in a 19th Century gesso decorated frame with matte. Some tears and wrinkles, overall toning and foxing. 2) Bound small atlas having engraved printed plates, some marked “Long.W. From London”. The South American map marked “By J. Sharman”. Each map having hand colored outlining. 25 pages including a map of North America marked “J. Sharman” and a map of the United States of America. Back of each map having writing. As found with tears, stains, edge losses. Maps are generally intact. SIZE: 1) Sight is 16-1/2″ x 9-1/4″. 2) Overall is 7-3/4″ x 12-3/4″. CONDITION: As noted above. 9-90865 (1,400-2,400)
