MAHOGANY TALL CLOCK BY SELL & MORALL, LIVERPOOL. The fine painted dial has house in landscape vignettes at each corner. Two depict church and graveyard, the other two show a house with woman outside. Inner minute and day dial, brass works with strike bell. The case in nice mahogany veneers having shaped small waist door flanked by three quarter spiral and turned posts. The hood with swan neck pediment, brass finials and spiral carved columns. Back of dial indicates restored in 1972 by D. Briggs, which indicates some repainting. Two iron weights, pendulum, winding key and door key present. SIZE: 93” h x 23” w x 9-1/2” d. CONDITION: Very good. 5-60659 (2,000-3,000)
