STARR CIVIL WAR CARBINE. Cal .54. .21” round bbl marked “STARR ARMS Co. YONKERS,N.Y.” on top of bbl and the same marking in two lines on the lockplate. SN 8688 or 8898. CONDITION: Gray/brown patina overall with spots of moderate pitting. A 6” sliver at the toe of the butt has been replaced and the wood has been refinished but numerous gouges and cuts remain.
