SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1855 RIFLE MUSKET. Cal .58. 40” part oct bbl. Dated 1858 on the lock and bbl. One cartouche is faintly visible. NSN. CONDITION: Bbl has been cleaned to white but some light pitting remains. There is heavier pitting at the front of the lockplate, trigger guard and bbl bands. Wood has been repaired, lightly sanded and refinished. Lock is fine. 4-49586 FS119 (1,000-1,500)
