*CUSTOMIZED MAUSER 98 RIFLE. Cal. appears to be 6mm Remington or 243. Built on a late military Mauser action with 24” tapered round bbl, ramp front sight and Redfield receiver sight. It is mounted in a Herters full-length stock with metal foreend tip, high Monte Carlo, rollover cheek piece with hard rubber buttplate and grip cap. The receiver bridges are tapped for a scope base and the bolt handle is bent and checkered. It has a custom safety. SN EA11644. CONDITION: About very good, bbl and receiver retain about 80% thin custom blue with some light pitting on the front receiver ring. Wood is sound and retains about 90% custom finish.
