WHITNEY MODEL 1861 PLYMOUTH RIFLE. Cal .69. 34” part oct bbl. “FCW” cartouche on the left side of the stock with the same initials on the left side of bbl. 10,000 of these rifles were made for the Navy. This one completed in 1863 and is so dated on the lock and bbl. SN 7251. CONDITION: Metal has been lightly cleaned with some spots of light surface rust and staining. Wood is fine with light dents and scratches. Action is fine. 4-49722 FS76 (2,500-3,500)
