ENGLISH OAK TALL CLOCK BY GEORGE SUGGATE, HALESWORTH. Brass works with handpainted flower decorated dial having two key wind holes. Repainted center dial has name “G. Suggate, Halesworth”. Oak case with tombstone style door, quarter columns and simple fretwork bonnet. Base has applied cutout feet. Central finial is missing. Pendulum, key and weights are present. PROVENANCE: From a central Maine estate. SIZE: 80-1/2” h. CONDITION: Case has some repair but generally good condition. Unknown working order. 9-94541 (1,500-2,500)
