EDGAR WHITEFIELD JENNEY (American, 1869-1939) THE INLET. Fine watercolor scene shows a rock banked inlet with green trees. Signed lower right “EW Jenney”. Housed in a gilt molded wood frame with wide white matte. Possibly a Nantucket scene. In 1927 Jenney retired to Nantucket where he taught art and painted primarily in watercolor with some of his works reproduced in lithographs. SIGHT SIZE: 17-1/4” x 23-3/4”.
