FINE REMINGTON ZOUAVE RIFLE. Cal .54. 33” round bbl. Dated 1863 on the tail of the lock and top of bbl. The spare nipple remains in place in the patchbox. The “BH” cartouche is crisp, the other is sharp and has a scratch across it and is unreadable. The left side of bbl is marked “STEEL B.K.A.” with various sub-inspector marks on other parts. NSN. CONDITION: Excellent. Apparently never issued. Retains 98% of the blue on bbl and slightly fading casehardening on the lock and hammer. Stock has minor handling marks mostly on the left side.
