AFTER JOSEPH M. W. TURNER (British, 1775-1851) 19TH COPY OF A GRAND CANAL SCENE. Oil on canvas scene shows waterway with large buildings on each side. Several boats with sails and gondolas with people can be seen along the waterway. White cloud and blue sky. Fancy gesso decorated frame, which has been repainted gold. Signed lower left with a conjoined “JW Turner”. British gallery label on back is partially obscured. SIZE: 18-1/4” x 32”. CONDITION: Very good. Some inpainting and three very small chips.
