HARPER’S FERRY MODEL 1855 RIFLE/MUSKET. Cal .58. 40” part oct bbl. Dated 1858 on lock and bbl. “JAS” cartouche on left flat of stock along with “W.CK” inspector initials and another cartouche that is unreadable. The WKC mark is also upside down on the right flat on bbl. Large initials “UG” are stamped at the rear of bbl tang in the wood. NSN. CONDITION: Metal surfaces have been cleaned bright. Wood is generally sharp with minor chips missing around the lock. It has been coated with wax. 4-49810 FS54 (2,000-3,000)
