REMINGTON CONVERSION OF FLINTLOCK MUSKET. Cal .69. 42” round bbl. “JM” and “JH” cartouches on left side of stock. Dated 1857 on lock and bbl tang. The tang also has issue marks “F/ B/44”. Various inspector marks appear on other parts. NSN. CONDITION: Gray patina with light pitting and scattered surface rust. Replacement nipple is new. Stock is cracked at front and back of lockplate but has not been repaired, otherwise very good. Lock is fine. A roll of Maynard tape primers is in the well. 4-49590 X34 (1,500-2,500)
