ALEXANDER BROOK (American, 1898-1980) “GIRL IN PINK DRESS”. Large oil on canvas interior scene shows a side view of a young girl in a pink dress standing beside a wood side chair. A white mantle with small painting is seen beyond the room divider. Signed bottom right “A. Brook”. Housed in a partial gilt molded wood frame. Attached to the back stretcher is a Santa Fe East Galleries Exhibition label from 1981. Also a Salander-O’Reilly Galleries, New York label. The label indicates that it was executed in 1945, No. AB14.
