SPRINGFIELD MODEL 1855 PISTOL CARBINE. Cal .54. 12” part oct bbl. Dated 1855 on the lockplate and 1855 on bbl. The butt cap has the number 5; unreadable on stock metal. There is no cartouche. NSN. CONDITION: Gray patina overall with light to moderate pitting. Ramrod is a replacement. There is a large gouge on the left side of the stock and a carved flower on the right side of the shoulder stock. The pistol stock has been sanded and refinished. Mechanics are good. There is a roll of Maynard primers in the well. 4-49639 FS253 (2,500-3,500)
