JACOB DUTWEILER WAGNER (American, 1852-1898) “NEPONSET RIVER, HYDE PARK”. Unsigned oil on board impressionistic landscape scene shows three buildings under a large grove of trees with river and marsh grass area in foreground. Title written on back of board. Board is marked “Boston”. Appears not to be signed but this painting came from the same house as the preceding lot which is signed. Housed in its original gilt carved wood frame. SIZE: 10” x 14”. CONDITION: Craquelure, varnish consolidation, surface dirt. Untouched. 9-29918 (1,500-2,500)
