COLT THUER CONVERSION POCKET NAVY REVOLVER. Cal .36. 4-1/2” oct bbl. All matching except loading lever which is correct for a late gun. The Thuer conversion ring is numbered 577 and has an “F” inspector mark on the right side at the rear. It is marked “PAT SEP / 15. 1868” on the left side of the ring and has a large script “E” on the ejector position. The end of the rammer is drilled for the seating tool and the face of the hammer has the hardened steel insert. The Pocket Navy Thuer conversion is the hardest to find. SN 19853. CONDITION: Very good with strong traces of blue on bbl and fading casehardening colors on the sides of the loading lever. There are a number of small dents overall, heavier around the wedge and extended loading port. The cylinder scene is still sharp. Grips are battered at the base with some minor chipping. There is a long crack on the left side but the wood is still solid but still retains about 80% of the varnish. Mechanically excellent. 4-49278 FS234 (7,500-12,500)
