COLT 51 NAVY NAVY CONVERSION REVOLVER. Cal. 38 CF. Standard conversion revolver with 7-1/2” oct bbl, filled rammer slot with added ejector rod housing. It has a loading gate with 1-pc walnut grips. It is marked with a small “U. S.” under Colt’s Patent on the left side of the frame and has the 2-line patent dates. The bottom of the butt is stamped “U.S.N./J.L.H.”. It has the large iron trigger guard. SN 50132. CONDITION: Very good, all matching except the wedge which is un-numbered. The last three numbers of the revolver serial number are stamped on the backside of the cylinder along with a small “H” inspector mark. The revolver overall has an even silver/brown patina with traces of case colors on the hammer. The cylinder retains small traces of the original scene. Grips are sound and retain most of an old re-varnish. The bore is strong and bright with a few spots of light pitting. A fine scarce Navy Navy. 4-49143 JR268 (3,500-4,500)
