MARTIALLY MARKED STARR DOUBLE ACTION ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Perc. Fine martial Starr, all matching with a 6” round bbl, blued frame with 1-pc walnut grip having a crisp “RHKW” cartouche on the left side and a bruised cartouche on the right. There are small inspector’s initials on most of the visible parts. SN 9027. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 20-25% bright original blue in the sheltered areas with the balance a silver-brown patina. The frame retains 75-80% bright original blue mixed with flaked patina and the hammer retains 75-80% strong case colors, dark on the top with some light surface pitting. The cylinder is a smooth even silver-brown patina and the rammer retains faded case colors on the pivot with the balance patina. The trigger guard and back strap are silver gray. The grip is sound and retains most of its original oil finish with minor handling and use nicks and scratches. Bright shiny bore. Mechanically good. 4-50073 (1,500-2,000)
