SAVAGE NAVY REVOLVER. Cal. 36 Perc. Fine example with 7-1/8” oct bbl, heart-shaped trigger guard with ring-cocking lever. It has 2-pc walnut grips with fine “J T” and “W.A.T.” inspector’s cartouches on both sides and tiny inspector’s initials on the various parts. SN 4232. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains 15-20% original blue, mostly under the rammer operating handle with the balance flaked to a light patina. The rammer housing and bbl lug retain 30-40% thin original blue and the frame 10-15% blue with the balance a light patina. The cylinder retains 92-93% bright, glossy blue with numerous small nicks and scratches. The hammer retains most of its fading case colors. Grips are sound with several small nicks and scratches and a series of bruises on the right side. The cartouches are sharp and crisp. Strong bright bore with scattered pitting.
