MARTIALLY MARKED REMINGTON 1858 NEW MODEL ARMY REVOLVER. Cal. 44 Perc. Blued finish with 8” oct bbl, pinched front sight with 2-pc walnut grips and a brass trigger guard. The left grip has cartouche “OWA” and it has small inspector initials over the various parts including the bottom of the grips. The bottom of the butt has had two large thumbscrews installed, apparently to accept an aftermarket stock. Accompanied by a reproduction black leather Cavalry holster. SN 95284. CONDITION: As noted. Very fine plus, retains 94-96% strong bright original blue, crisp grips with legible cartouche and brilliant shiny bore. The reproduction holster is as new. 4-49236 (1,500-2,500)
