TWO EARLY LIGHT SHIP SLATES. Two rectangular slates one with a wooden back stenciled “lightship # 42”. (This one originally was a double slate). The surface of the slate is sectioned for “wind, barometer, temperature, number of vessels, water, weather, sea”. SIZE: Both approximately the same size, 15” l x 11” w. CONDITION: Generally good. Show much use. The lightship slate has a crack in the middle. 9-96954 (350-450)
