19TH CENTURY CARVED AND PAINTED CIGAR STORE INDIAN. Standing in striding position holding cigars in one hand and large knife in other. Standing on a square block and wearing a colorful dress in red, yellow and gray. A large feathered head dress adorns the head. PROVENANCE: De-accessioned from the Denver Art Museum in 1995. SIZE: 78” h with base; base being 6” h. CONDITION: Repainted, some weathering and cracks throughout and some minor repairs. Generally in very good condition. The base has chipping and cracks. 9-27701 (10,000-20,000)
