CARL HIRSCHBERG (American, 1854-1923) JUMP IN FOR A RIDE. Oil on canvas beach scene shows a small rowboat being pulled in shallow water by a young boy in blue shirt, green shorts and cap. A girl with pink lace trimmed outfit and pink parasol sits in front and another boy with blue shirt and yellow hat sits in back. All look toward a small black and white dog who looks up wondering whether he is invited. A shallow beach area is seen with a rock quay with a sailboat on the horizon. Signed lower right and dated “1906”. Housed in a modern gilt wood frame. SIZE: 24-1/2″ x 35-1/2″. CONDITION: Relined on new stretcher, restored, inpainting. 9-92182 (5,000-7,000)
