INTERESTING INLAID MARQUETRY CONTINENTAL GAME TABLE. Table has double top in triangular form, which is hinged and when opened onto a slide out back leg, makes a turret corner, four-sided game table. The table has inlaid chessboard and four circles with cards. Top of table, when folded back, has marquetry inlay scene with urn of flowers and birds. Piece rests on three tall cabriole legs with vine and flower inlay on legs and skirt. PROVENANCE: From the Estate of Peter Hukill, Torrington, CT. SIZE: 29” h x 18-1/2” d (folded) x 37” dia (unfolded). CONDITION: Some repair needed to inlay and veneers but generally intact. 9-94651 (350-550)
