COLT MODEL 1849 POCKET MODEL REVOLVER. Cal. 31 Perc. Usual configuration, blue and case colored, 6-shot, with 6” oct bbl that has dovetailed front and rear sights added. It has brass trigger guard and backstrap with 1-pc walnut grips with one-line New York address. SN 319280. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching, including the wedge, except the operating handle, which is unnumbered. Bbl retains 85-90% blue mixed with flaked patina, strong in the sheltered areas, missing wedge screw. The operating handle and rammer retain traces of original color with the pivot having bright case colors. The frame retains about 90% case hardening on the flats, fading with scattered light surface pitting. The trigger guard and backstrap are a medium mustard patina. The cylinder is a gray-brown patina with a couple of old nicks and dings and retains 80-85% original stagecoach hold-up scene. Grips have light edge wear with light handling and use marks and retain 95-97% strong bright original varnish. Bright shiny bore with scattered light pitting. 4-49499 (1,500-2,000)
