LARGE ORIENTAL CARVED IVORY FIGURAL GROUP. The shaped pieced decorated ivory base sets into a wood footed stand, all holding a horse driven Rickshaw and two standing figures. The horse has rider atop, the Rickshaw with a man with fancy head ornament and kimono. The Rickshaw is decorated with lions and the pierced wheels have nice ornamentation. The Rickshaw back has dragon decoration. The figures are glued to the ivory base. PROVENANCE: From a Belgrade Lakes, Maine home. SIZE: Total height is 12-1/2” x 17” l x 8-1/2” d. CONDITION: There are two pieces that are present which extend to the spear that the men are holding, otherwise very good. 9-27915 (1,500-2,500)
