JAMES GALE TYLER (American, 1855-1931) MAJESTIC SURF. Large oil on canvas seascape with large crashing wave hitting rock ledge causing a plume of white foam. Gray sky with nice color in green and blue waves. Signed lower right “James G. Tyler”. Housed in what appears to be its original magnificent gesso decorated shell carved frame. SIZE: 28” x 40”. CONDITION: Relined, professional repair to “L” shaped tear. Very good condition. 9-93734 (4,000-6,000)
