FINE NEEDLEWORK SAMPLER BY MARY WATSON AGED 16 YEARS. Colorful sampler has two alphabet rows and one numeric row. A central row of trees, both large and small. Bottom has central basket of fruit or flowers over a rectangular box with name and age. This is flanked by colonial houses with black roofs, double chimneys, five twelve pane windows and front doors with iron latches. Strawberry type vine border, probably of Connecticut origin. Presently mounted on a fine linen which is affixed to light cardboard. Housed in a fine lemon gold molded frame. SIZE: 16” x 15”. CONDITION: Very good. 9-94460 (3,000-5,000)
