QUEEN ANNE BLACK LACQUER DECORATED GRANDMOTHER CLOCK. The case decorated with oriental motif in red and gold on black ground. The rectangular door with molded edge has scene with ships, swans, people and pagoda. The square base panel has man with birds. Attached bracket base. Hood has similar decoration with 3/4 round pilasters, side windows and hinged glass door. 7” silvered-steel dial with matte center and two key-wind apertures. Fitted at the spandrels with cherubs-head mounts. Unsigned brass works. PROVENANCE: Woolworth Collection. SIZE: 65-1/2” h x 14-1/2” at widest. CONDITION: Very good, unknown working order. Case has some chipping, mostly on sides. Weights and pendulum present. 9-99945 (2,000-4,000)
