GREENE UNDER HAMMER RIFLE. Cal .54. 36” round bbl marked “GREENE S PATENT / NOV.17 1857.” on the upper tang, no inspector marks are visible. This smoothbore rifle has an oval bore. NSN. CONDITION: Extremely fine with 95% thinning blue on bbl and receiver, 98% brilliant blue on the bands. The casehardening colors on the hammer are very bright. Wood has normal dents and dings. 4-49276 FS21 (2,000-3,000)
