PAINTED LEATHER FIRE BUCKET “THOMAS C. AMORY 1806”. Green bucket has large painting of Gabrielle blowing her horn. She has a red cape and is surrounded by a banner in a mustard light orange with writing at top “Thomas C. Amory” and at the base an intertwined scroll banner “Active 1806”. Signed on bottom “GDP” which possibly could be the artist. The top and bottom rim in brown with a black leather handle. Handle and rings intact. PROVENANCE: Believed to be a Peabody, Massachusetts bucket. SIZE: 12-1/2″ h to top of rim. CONDITION: There is some wide cracking to the paint surface through the center of the front picture.
