A FINE IZANNAH WALKER DOLL. A most classical doll that appeals not only to doll collectors but to those that enjoy Americana and Folk Art!! This highly sought after doll features fine curls on her forehead with a center part, exposed ears and a multitude of curls at the rear of her head. She features original/period clothing and painted red boots with black buttons. Coming directly to the auction market from the original family residing in North Carolina. Her dress shows significant distress to the blue-lined silk fabric with dark brown gauzing still intact. Original layers of cotton underwear are intact. Overcoat is of later vintage and probably “mother-made”. She has painted brown eyes, highlighted with fine stroked eyelashes and eyebrows. A gentile smile adorns her face. SIZE: 17″. CONDITION: Overall condition is good to very good with uniform scrapes/chipping to painted features, more chipping to hair. 1-6372 JL (6,000-8,000)
