UNSIGNED (19th Century) CONNECTICUT RIVER, SUNDERLAND, MASS. Oil on canvas scene shows fisherman on Sunderland side of the Connecticut River looking over water towards Mount Sugarloaf in South Deerfield, Mass. A large covered bridge spans the river with colonial house on far side. Two rowboats are seen on river. Setting sun at left side lightens sky from a peach to a blue color. Housed in an antique dark stained ogee type frame. A very unusual and early scene of the Connecticut River Valley in Massachusetts. SIZE: 22-1/4” x 27”. CONDITION: Very good.
