VERY RARE EARLY PAINTED GAME BOARD. Board believed to be from the “Royal Goose” or “Snake” game. Square board with coiled painted snake with red arrow tongue. Snake in colors of black, brown and tan. Around the belly of the snake are 63 drilled holes. Atop the snake are various colored ducks with one at tollbooth, one next to dice, one next to doorway, another next to fireplace, one beside tunnel and one beside castle. The last is beside a skeleton holding a black arrow. There is a cream and black bordered circle that all of this fits in. Background color is a dark brown. SIZE: 16” x 15-1/2”. CONDITION: Generally very good, board with an expected slight warp. 9-27515 (2,000-4,000)
