COLT MODEL 1861 NAVY REVOLVER. Cal. 36 Perc. Fine ’61 Navy with 7-1/2” round bbl, German silver front sight with silver-plated brass trigger guard and backstrap with beautiful burl walnut 1-pc grips. SN 9741. CONDITION: Very fine, all matching including the wedge. Bbl retains 75-80% original blue, strong and bright in the sheltered areas mixed with brown patina elsewhere. There are a few small dings on bbl and hammer marks around the wedge slot. The frame is smooth and clean and retains most of its original bright case colors on the flat sides with traces of case color s on the recoil shields. The hammer retains about 50% faded case colors with light pitting on the hammer nose. The cylinder is mostly a light brown patina with some scattered minor rust pitting and retains 80%+ of Naval battle scene. The trigger guard and backstrap retain traces of silver plating in the very sheltered areas and on the bottom of the butt. Deluxe wood grips, the left grip has a hairline near the frame and the right grip has a replaced chip near the frame and chipped toes, otherwise they are smooth and clean with 2 or 3 dings on the left side with minor handling marks elsewhere.
