OUTSTANDING AND RARE TWO PART CORNER CUPBOARD. 18th Century. Appears to be in walnut. Top section with scroll pediment having carved flower rosettes. Central turned urn finial appears to be original. Under which there is a decorative carving. The glazed door in tombstone design having four pane fan above nine panes. Three shaped shelves, the bottom two with deep curving lobed front with plate rails and the bottom fitted with spoon slots. Top shelf with concave cutting and plate rail. All in a light blue color. Fine rattail hinges. The bottom with one large double raised panel door with one shelf behind, molded top and fine applied bracket base with drop fan carving. PROVENANCE: From a fine East Winthrop, Maine home. SIZE: 91-1/2” to top of finial x 44-1/2” at widest x 22” at deepest. CONDITION: Old surface with nice patina. Very good. 9-27798 (3,000-5,000)
