UNSIGNED (American, 19th Century) DOUBLE FOLK PORTRAIT. Outstanding oil on paper mounted on board folk art portrait shows a woman and man seated on red sofa having a greenish/brown background. The woman has a shawl around shoulders and wears a brownish/red dress. A lace bonnet is tied under her chin and she wears a golden pin on her collar. The man holds a book in his left hand and wears a formal black jacket with white shirt and bow tie. Unsigned. Housed in an old partial gilt black and red painted frame. SIZE: 10” x 12”.
