FINE PAINTED AND CARVED EAGLE WITH BANNER “DON’T GIVE UP THE SHIP” BY JOHN H. BELLAMY. Bellamy was from Kittery Point, Maine and this is typical of his eagles with banners. Painted in original red, white and blue and carved star at beginning of banner. Pine construction. Eagle head is pointed left with open mouth and red tongue. SIZE: 26” l.
