THOMAS WILLIS (American, 1850-1925) SAILBOAT WITH LIGHTHOUSE. Silk and oil nautical scene shows a one mast sailboat with five sails flying American flag and triangular red, white and blue pennant. Five figures on deck with nice detail. The boat sails right to left on a green choppy sea and has a white lighthouse with two buildings on point of land at right. A pink, blue and white cloud sky. A fine example of this artists work. Signed lower right “T. Willis 1907”. Housed in what appears to be its original mahogany molded wood frame. SIGHT SIZE: 15-1/2” x 23-1/2”.
