OUTSTANDING GILT CIRCUS HORSE LEAPING THROUGH HOOP BY A. L. JEWELL & CO. Cast metal head and copper body has flame style mane and stamped tail. Front and back legs are up jumping through an iron hoop. REFERENCE: “The Art of the Weathervane” by Miller page 25. PROVENANCE: Edmund Fuller to Hope Wich to a Maryland collector. Set in custom wood stand with metal rod. SIZE: 30” l; 15-1/4” from bottom of hoop to top of hoop. CONDITION: One old 1/2” split to front hoof, otherwise very good with nice patina. 9-95230 (20,000-30,000)
