UNSIGNED (Italian, 19th Century) PAIR OF ANGEL PAINTINGS. Both oil on board. The background in gold and the wings have incised feathers. The angels are finely painted. One shown in blue, the other in red. Both blowing horns. They are identically housed in fancy gilt architectural frames in cathedral shape resembling the front doorway of a building having pointed roof top with spires, four spiral columns, architectural type window and molded fancy base. One panel has writing with date 1882. Other has label which is illegible. SIZE: 16-3/4” x 6”. Frames are 26-1/2” x 9-1/2”. CONDITION: The paintings are in very good condition. Frames have some small elements missing but generally very good. 9-25109 (500-1,000)
