Humorous illustration of beguiling young beauty distracting a miner as he is about to drive home the explosive charge. Typical! Lithographed by Donaldson Bros., Five Points, NY for the Hecla Powder Co., 239 Broadway, New York, circa 1880’s. The Hecla Powder Co operated from 1877-1896 when it became the Hecla Dynamite Co. IMAGE SIZE: 9-1/4″ w x 14-1/4″ h. CONDITION: Shows multiple horizontal roll creases with some breaks to the paper surface, but truly a candidate worthy of archival restoration. 1-28855 (2,000-4,000)
