ATTRIBUTED TO MAXFIELD FREDERICK PARRISH (American, 1870-1966) THE TWO COOKS. Oil on silk scene shows two elf type cooks in blue wearing white aprons and red canvas slippers. One holds top to a large copper cauldron, the other lifts a white bag out of the cauldron. The silk is hand sewn around the edges and was mounted to a board. The top is angled. Unsigned but including many of the attributed seen in Parrish’s paintings such as “The Pastry Cooks- Blue Nose”. SIZE: 27” x 20-1/2”. CONDITION: Some staining, good. 9-70026 (2,000-4,000)
