2 KEWPIES & 1 DOG BY BARREL CANDY CONTAINERS Ca. 1915. Winged kewpies with knot at top of head and side and back tufts standing next to barrel. One marked on bottom of figure “Serial No. 2862/Net. wt. 3/4 oz.” Bottom of barrel marked “Geo. Borgfeldt & Co., NY. Kewpie re. US Pat off Des Pat. 43680 1”. Other not marked. Dog by Barrel, ca. 1912. Brown dog with bow around neck with rhinestone eyes, repainted lid. Marked “L.E. Smith Co. New Wt. 1 Oz”. SIZE: Kewpies: 2-3/4″ w x 3″ t. Dog: 4″ w x 3-1/4″ t. CONDITION: Marked Kewpie is without paint, otherwise very good. Other has overall flash of blue paint, exhibiting slight roughness on bottom, lot otherwise good.
